Uwila is a decorative needlefelt figurine, mounted on a wooden base. I have created this ornament to my own unique design.
 
I have shaped and compacted carded wool using specialist needles. The needles have barbs which catch the wool fibres, tangling them until they form a solid shape. Detailed work then goes into sculpting the features of each unique creature. This is the exciting part, where individual personalities come to life - ready to spread their joy, wherever they are displayed!
 
Uwila (Old German for Owl) is kind and compassionate, he sends his love into the world. He is securely mounted onto a wood slice. He is sturdy and free-standing, ready to display or gift. He is waiting to catch your eye and make you smile!
 
Please note, Uwila is a collector's item, not a toy - not suitable for children.
He should be positioned out of direct sunlight.
