Ugla is a decorative needlefelt ornament securely mounted on a wooden base. This figurine is created to my own unique design.
 
Ugla (Norse for Owl) is the largest of my needlefelt owl sculptures. Quietly authoritative, he watches over his brood, his golden eyes glowing with love.
 
Lengths of carded wool are shaped and compressed using specialist needles. The needles have barbs which catch the wool fibres, compacting them until they form a solid shape. Much more work then goes into sculpting the features of each unique creature. 
 
The skilled handling of high-quality wool allows me to bring individual personalities to life - their cosy colours and textures will complement any home. 
 
Ugla is securely mounted onto two wood slices. He is sturdy and free-standing, ready to display or gift. Ugla is eagerly waiting to watch over his new home - he'll catch your eye and make you smile!

He should be positioned out of direct sunlight.
