"It would be wrong to leave the male out of the equation, especially as it was the Pictish men and their adornment which inspired this whole series, so here dragons wind their way around his vest and tattooed on this arm, accompanied by the symbology of their era, the crescent and V rod, meaning unknown, but a brilliant graphic shape for a lino cut.
