Do you remember that silly rhyme? Seemingly it's a nursery rhyme that has existed for at least 200 years.
The title of this painting was inspired by that ryhme. I can clearly see a castle in the middle. From childhood, living in Scotland, I was often taken to the ruins of a Scottish Castle for a picnic. This tradition has been continued with my own children and with so many Castles in my local area, we're spoilt for choice!
