Focus on the Positives - Mélanie Isaac

This is an atmospheric piece of contemporary art, both ethereal and dreamy. 

A largish textured painting, it comprises a base layer, created with modelling paste. Then it has a combination of acrylic and watered down acrylic paints, the latter creating a soft, watercolour effect on the canvas.

There is a strong violet focus point that is reminiscent of a sunset sky and an afterthought of drip painting that could indicate a sky heavy with rain. The gentle texture and golden highlights create an atmosphere of peace and calm.

This is finished with 2 layers of top-quality UV-resistant varnish to protect the work from light damage and general wear and tear. The sides of the canvas have been included in the overall painting, enabling a finished effect without the necessity to add a frame.
