"Dawn Chorus" is an original mixed-media collage picture. It is an abstract depiction of a fresh dawn - watery sunlight pierced by birdsong. Dawn Chorus is presented mounted in a 6" modern box frame, ready for wall or desk display.
 
I have created this work using altered picture book papers, manuscript fragments and my own hand-painted papers. The textural background is created by weaving strips of these hand-painted papers, before overlaying the main design. The completed work is embellished with gold metallic ink.
 
This picture would make a lovely treat for a nature lover or bird watcher - bringing the outside in for year-round enjoyment.
